Here is a little peak at my quilt that is leaving me very shortly to hang in the Dallas quilt show this coming weekend. I have never shown a picture of the entire quilt for the simple reason, that I can't get a decent picture of it for the life of me. I'm not sure if it is the lighting, the camera, the quilt or me. I have changed every variable except the quilt. I usually do one "big" quilt a year and this was the quilt I made last year. It took me 9 months and has more that a thousand pieces. (It took me as long to make it as each of my children.) Funnily enough, it started because I wanted to make a dresden plate quilt. I am very glad it is done and I have some distance from it and am able to look at it with a different set of eyes. It does make my skirt fly up! So, if you have an idea for a complex quilt, go for it! You might just surprise yourself and not only will you have a fabulous quilt but you will feel invincible!
